Skyfrost

Skyfrost is developed by Bernardo Garcia Fensterseifer ("the developer", "we", "our"). This policy describes what information is collected when you play Skyfrost, how it is used, and your rights over that data. We are committed to collecting only what is strictly necessary for the game to function.

1. Information We Collect

Account & Identity
When you create a character, you choose a username and display name, which are stored on our servers. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive only an anonymized user identifier — your name and email are never shared with us unless you explicitly opt in. An optional photo of your face may be captured once for avatar generation and is processed entirely on your device; it is never transmitted to our servers.

Gameplay Progress
We store your character's progress — including level, inventory, gold, quests, equipped items, discovered locations, pets, and house furniture — on our servers to enable cross-device play and multiplayer synchronization.

Real-Time Multiplayer Data
During online play, your character's position, movement state, animation, and text chat messages are transmitted to our server in real time and relayed to other players in the same session. We do not store chat history on the server beyond the active session.

AI-Powered NPC Dialogue
Skyfrost features two AI dialogue systems:

• Mentor Arcano (server-side AI): Text you type to the Mentor Arcano NPC is forwarded to the Groq API to generate a response. Messages include your character's level and gold as context. They are not stored after the response is returned.
• Villager NPCs (on-device AI): Dialogue with common village inhabitants is processed entirely on your device using Apple Intelligence. These messages never leave your device.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA) or ad networks of any kind.
• We do not integrate third-party analytics SDKs (e.g., Firebase, Mixpanel).
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.
• We do not access your contacts, calendar, photos library, or microphone.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your account and maintain your game session.
• To synchronize your game progress across your devices and with other players.
• To generate AI NPC dialogue responses within the context of the game world.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Railway — Cloud server hosting.
• Groq — AI inference for the Mentor Arcano feature. Subject to Groq's Privacy Policy.
• Apple Intelligence — On-device language model for villager NPCs. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store — App distribution. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

Your account and game progress are retained for as long as your account is active. Real-time gameplay data is ephemeral and not stored after the session ends. AI dialogue messages are not retained after the response is delivered.

6. Children's Privacy

Skyfrost is rated 12+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at bernardogarciafen@gmail.com and we will delete that data promptly.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Email us at bernardogarciafen@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. To delete your account and all associated data, include "Account Deletion Request" in your subject line.

8. Security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard cryptographic hashing. All communication between the game client and our server is encrypted via HTTPS and WSS (secure WebSockets).

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the game evolves. If changes are material, we will notify you via an in-game notice. Continued use of Skyfrost after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
